Priya: The first and foremost thing about which I am curious about is what's the secret of your glowing skin and beauty?
Rita: Well nothing special, just a proper and timely diet and adequate sleep.
A glowing skin exhibits your good health. Each and every one of us desires to become beautiful and for this reason we all strive to attain a healthy glow. But are we really able to take care of our skin regularly in our busy schedule? Obviously no. Also smoking, drinking, unhealthy snacking are the causes of numerous skin problems and dull skins.
Time has come to change these bad habits. The healthy food helps to keep the skin fresh and glowing and reverses the adverse effects of environment and our lifestyle. As your skin is the reflection of your healthy diet so following a healthy diet is essential. If you are to look healthy and fresh then your diet must contain adequate fruits, vegetables and healthy fat. A perfect diet can make your body healthy, strong and also energetic.
Diet for glowing skin:
Eat less, but eat frequently and off course eat healthy. Divide your diet chart in the below manner:
Breakfast: Breakfast is the most important part of our diet. We are starting our day with it. A morning diet needs a good mixture of foods and nutrients so that we remain active throughout the day. So you must have a healthy and heavy breakfast. It is good to have your breakfast within 8.30 to 9.30 a.m.Your breakfast should include milk, cereals and a portion of protein.
Mid day snacks: If you are hungry take your food within 11-12 p.m
You can have any beverage like lassi or any homemade drink like lemon water, coconut water etc in your mid day snack. If the hunger is still not satisfied you can have a whole fruit or a fruit salad.
Lunch: Have your lunch within 1: 30-2:30 p.m. As lunch is an important part of the meal so your diet should be balanced.
Have a portion of cereals like Chapatti/Roti and a small amount of rice
A vegetable salad or a simple vegetable preparation with fresh vegetable is ideal for a glowing skin.
Any protein diet like Dal, fish, Chicken, Egg is also necessary.
A portion of curd
Evening Snacks: Enjoy your snacks within 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.Your diet should include:
- Milk/tea
- Biscuits
- A portion of cereal like Roti/rice
- 1 portion of protein like Dal/ Chicken/ Eggs/ Fish etc.
- 1 portion of vegetable either in salad or in a form of preparation
- Protein food like fish, chicken, eggs
- Leafy veggies like beans, sprouts, broccoli, celery, and spinach
- Green tea instead of black tea
- Fruits like berries, pomegranate, carrots, cucumber, citrus fruits
- Watermelon and peach juices are also good for skin
- Practice some healthy exercise like yoga, so as to keep your body healthy from within.
