Aim Assist for PC - Is This Cheating?

Hi all. Sorry for making this my first post, but after lurking for a while I've determined this is the most active/useful BLOPS 2 forums, so I wanted to get some opinions here.

As you know the Console version of the game affords players an "Aim Assist" option, lowering look sensitivity while ADS. This was not implemented in the PC version. I actually didn't know this feature existed until reading about it last night in a search for tips on how to improve my aim. After reading about it I decided to see what affect (if any) it would have on my gameplay if it were available.

To the point, I developed something that recreates this feature for my PC. I used it only on bots, because I'm very anti-hack/anti-camp when it comes to my FPS games. I play these games to challenge myself, against others, so I don't want to play with any advantage over other players.

It's a gray area though. I wanted to know what you guys thought. Do you think using my Aim Assist is cheating/hacking/scum-like, given the fact that this feature comes standard in many FPS titles, including the console version of BLOPS2?

I'm sure there are other available Aim Assists programs available, but I looked for a bit and couldn't find one. Would you guys use Aim Assist and would you consider it cheating?

Just curious and this seems the best place to ask. Thanks guys, and I hope this post isn't seen as pro-cheat. I wrote it mainly because I've been craving a programming project and this scratched my itch.

Mouse+keyboard already gives you pinpoint accuracy. I'd prefer to have a consistent ads aim sensitivity rather than have my look sensitivity slow down when over a target. Anyway, do you find it helpful so far in bot mode? So long as your program does not reduce weapon recoil I'd be okay with it.

    A) YES IT'S CHEATING
    B) It's a broken system on console... it doesn't really work that well... in fact, it throws me off more than anything...

Sometimes your aim gets stuck on one enemy when you want to shoot at a different enemy. It doesn't happen often though, and aim assist helps way more than it hurts on console. You can turn off aim assist on console multiplayer, go into the menus, it's under "target assist" I think.

Reason sense goes down in ADS on console is because controllers are garbage for FPS. With a mouse you get the best accuracy and speed at the same time. Why lower the aiming speed in ADS?! Doesn't make sense.
